Role Overview:
As an Associate Director within our People & Organization Consulting practice, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, delivering high-impact client solutions, and leading teams to excellence. You will be instrumental in shaping innovative HR and organizational strategies that enable clients to enhance performance, navigate complex transformations, and achieve sustainable success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Client Engagement
- Lead and execute business development strategies by generating service ideas and coordinating across firm functions to deliver compelling proposals and secure mandates with clients.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop insights and responses addressing current industry challenges and emerging trends.
- Proactively identify and engage with prospective clients to explore business needs and tailor solutions aligned with strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to foster long-term business growth.
- Develop thought leadership content and marketing propositions that address pressing industry issues and reinforce the firm’s market positioning.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, forums, seminars, and committees to maintain high market visibility and enhance brand reputation.
2. Service Delivery & Project Leadership
- Lead the delivery of People & Organization consulting services for multinational corporations, private equity firms, and domestic enterprises, ensuring client satisfaction and value creation.
- Manage and scope complex transformation initiatives including start-ups, organizational revitalization, closures, relocations, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Oversee fundamental HR consulting projects encompassing change management, organizational development, talent and performance management, reward design, HR function transformation, and post-deal integration.
- Cultivate strong advisory relationships with clients by offering strategic insights and practical solutions that drive tangible improvements.
- Demonstrate leadership by setting high professional standards, providing coaching and mentorship to develop and elevate team capabilities.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Inspire and lead teams by example, promoting a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation.
- Mentor, coach, and support the professional growth of team members to build a high-performing and motivated workforce.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, creative, and pragmatic strategies tailored to client needs.
- Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams and contribute to practice development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 8 years corporate experience.
- 8–12 years of relevant consulting experience in areas such as:
- Change Management
- Organization Development and Talent Management
- Performance Management and Reward Design
- HR Function Transformation
- Post-Merger Integration
- Proven track record of successful client delivery, combining strong technical knowledge with effective project management skills.
- Prior experience in practice development roles at leading HR consulting firms is highly desirable.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, complemented by creativity and lateral thinking.
- Commercially astute with sound business judgment, risk awareness, and market insight.
- Outgoing, ambitious, and results-driven personality with a demonstrable ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and driving business development.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Excellent command of English; fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred but not mandatory.
