We are looking for a Director of Operational Transformation & Chief of Staff to the VP of Operations, Electrification & Automation North America.
This position will be based at a Siemens U.S. location, Wendell NC is preferred.
The Chief of Staff to the Vice President of Operations serves as a strategic partner and force multiplier, helping drive execution across a complex and rapidly expanding manufacturing organization. This role connects strategy, governance, and execution across manufacturing plants, contract manufacturing operations, business integrations, expansion projects, and operational excellence functions. You will translate organizational priorities into measurable outcomes while enabling senior operations leadership to focus on strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and business performance.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Serving as a strategic and operational advisor to the VP of Operations, driving the Operations roadmap, annual objectives, executive reviews, business reviews, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Providing governance across a multi-site manufacturing network by aligning priorities across factories, support functions, project teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- Driving transparency, accountability, and execution discipline through management operating systems, dashboards, KPIs, escalation processes, and measurable outcomes.
- Overseeing manufacturing expansion, capital investment, product industrialization, workforce ramp-up, infrastructure readiness, and the consolidated Operations project portfolio.
- Supporting contract manufacturing strategy by aligning internal operations with external manufacturing partners across onboarding, operational readiness, quality systems, risk management, and capacity planning.
- Leading Lean Office, continuous improvement, manufacturing systems, productivity, waste elimination, business impact tracking, and operational excellence initiatives across plants.
- Accelerating operational transformation by partnering with automation, digitalization, engineering, finance, procurement, supply chain, and commercial teams on MES, analytics, connected factory solutions, AI-enabled processes, demand planning, and growth readiness.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience with the following:
- Manufacturing operations, operational excellence, engineering, supply chain, project management, consulting, or business leadership in an industrial environment.
- Leading complex cross-functional initiatives across manufacturing plants, functions, project teams, and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Establishing management operating systems, dashboards, KPIs, governance processes, executive reviews, and measurable performance outcomes.
- Designing systems for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and measuring data to support decision-making and business impact.
- People leadership, full performance management, executive communication, presentation development, organizational planning, and managing multiple priorities in a high-growth environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, master’s degree, or advanced education in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting senior executives or operating in a Chief of Staff, operational transformation, strategy execution, or business management capacity.
- Experience with manufacturing expansions, greenfield projects, large capital investments, project portfolio management, or PMO leadership.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent experience leading continuous improvement, Lean Office, productivity, and operational excellence programs.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0, automation, digital manufacturing, MES, analytics, connected factory solutions, and AI-enabled operations.
