Join Accenture Strategy's Global Network - M&A and Private Equity Consulting team, a high-impact practice that helps leading Private Equity investors and corporate clients shape, evaluate, and execute complex transactions. As a Manager, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and value creation across the full deal lifecycle - from target screening and diligence to Day 1 readiness, integration, separation, and portfolio transformation.
You will lead complex M&A and PE engagements, own senior client relationships, and guide teams through high-velocity deal environments. This is an entrepreneurial, market-facing role for leaders who combine structured problem solving, commercial judgment, and hands-on delivery to help grow Accenture's M&A and Private Equity practice across geographies.
Lead end-to-end execution and governance of complex M&A and PE engagements spanning pre-deal diligence, deal execution, Day 1 readiness, integration, separation, and value creation.
Shape workplans, hypotheses, deliverables, and executive-ready recommendations for ambiguous transaction and transformation priorities.
Drive senior client conversations, workshops, steering committee updates, and C-suite / Investment Committee-ready presentations.
Manage engagement risks, timelines, quality, and team performance while balancing commercial outcomes with delivery excellence.
Build trusted relationships with PE firms, corporate clients, account teams, industry / functional teams, and global M&A / PE leadership to originate and convert opportunities.
Lead RFPs, proposals, client orals, account development, IP creation, and thought leadership to strengthen Accenture's market presence in M&A and Private Equity.
Mentor consultants, build high-performing teams, and create an environment that promotes ownership, apprenticeship, and growth.
Functional M&A: Lead Commercial / Operational Due Diligence, Target Screening, synergy and value creation assessment, operating model design, and Functional Integration / Separation planning and execution across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, Commercial, and Operating Model workstreams.
Tech / IT M&A: Lead Technology, Cybersecurity, and Platform Due Diligence, as well as IT Integration / Separation strategy and execution across applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, cloud / ERP platforms, TSA planning, and technology operating model.
Must-Have
6+ years/10+ years of post-MBA experience in M&A consulting, strategy consulting, transaction advisory, Private Equity, or a comparable deal environment.
Demonstrated leadership in either Functional M&A or Tech / IT M&A across diligence, integration, separation, or portfolio value creation.
Proven experience managing senior client stakeholders, engagement teams, governance forums, and executive-level deliverables.
Strong commercial acumen, structured problem-solving, deal judgment, and ability to translate complex analysis into board-level recommendations.
Experience contributing to business development, proposals, client orals, account shaping, or pipeline conversion in an M&A / transaction advisory context.
Deep industry knowledge in one or more priority sectors: CMT, Financial Services, Resources, Healthcare / Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Services, or Retail.
Ability to lead in fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-driven deal environments while coaching consultants and managing quality.
Experience in Day 1 readiness, IMO / SMO setup, TSA management, synergy tracking, and separation governance.
Experience working across multi-geography, cross-functional teams and with global delivery / offshore networks.
Good to Have
Experience in GCC strategy, setup, scaling, optimization, or transformation initiatives.
Exposure to AI-led transformation, analytics, automation, or digital enablement in a deal, transaction, or portfolio value creation context.
Portfolio value creation, synergy realization, EBITDA improvement, or ESG strategy experience in a PE-backed context.
