Position Overview
L.E.K. Consulting is seeking talented and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Associates. This is a full-time, entry-level position designed for recent graduates and professionals with up to four years of work experience who are interested in building a career in strategy consulting.
As an Associate, you will be an integral member of our consulting teams, working alongside colleagues at different levels of seniority on strategic projects across a broad range of industries and business topics.
You will contribute to solving complex business challenges by conducting research, analyzing quantitative and qualitative information, developing insights, and supporting the preparation of recommendations for our clients. Associates are encouraged to take ownership of defined analytical tasks and workstreams while receiving ongoing guidance, feedback, and professional development support from experienced consultants.
The Associate role offers the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytics, communication, and client service while gaining exposure to a diverse range of companies, industries, and business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Structuring and analyzing complex business problems using logical and hypothesis-driven thinking;
- Conducting research on markets, companies, competitors, customers, and industry trends;
- Collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data;
- Contributing to analyses such as market sizing, benchmarking, competitive assessments, opportunity evaluations, financial analysis, and scenario development;
- Building and reviewing analytical models, spreadsheets, charts, presentations, and other project materials;
- Taking ownership of defined analytical tasks or project workstreams, with guidance from more experienced team members;
- Synthesizing complex information into clear insights, implications, and actionable recommendations;
- Participating actively in team discussions and clearly communicating hypotheses, findings, and key takeaways;
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of materials for client meetings and presentations;
- Collaborating with colleagues across different levels of seniority, practices, and geographies;
- Managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail;
- Using digital tools, databases, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the efficiency and quality of research and analysis.
What We Look For
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A completed undergraduate degree from university;
- Recent graduation or up to three years of professional experience;
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills;
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in business, strategy, and consulting;
- The ability to structure complex problems and develop clear, evidence-based conclusions;
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines;
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work;
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
- Flexibility and adaptability when working across different projects, industries, and business challenges;
- Professional fluency in Portuguese and English.
