About A&M Global Capability Center Private Limited

In 2023, A&M established a high-quality global capability center in India. The capability center has dedicated centers of expertise which work with A&M leadership across multiple business units and geographies to enable efficient service delivery to A&M clients.

The GCC is designed to efficiently and innovatively scale client delivery teams to meet ongoing demands. It helps A&M's global business units expand their talent pool in India, allowing them to hire specialized professionals, maintain competitive pricing, accelerate delivery speeds with a hybrid onshore-offshore team, and leverage automation with top-tier digital and analytics talent. The GCC blends industry and consulting professionals across multiple domains to drive change and add value.

Unlike traditional GCC models focused on back-office support, we partner with case teams for end-to-end case delivery and thought leadership. Nearly 90% of our consultants hold advanced degrees, and our leadership team boasts over 1000 years of combined experience. We serve all major markets, including the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, and work across various industries such as Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Software & Technology, Automotive & Industrials, Hospitality & Leisure, Energy & Natural Resources, and Financial Services.

The Team

At Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), our GCC PEPI practice is a dynamic and integral part of our global operations, collaborating closely with clients and onshore teams to deliver independent, data-driven analysis and comprehensive, end-to-end services across the private equity investment lifecycle. Our team specializes in providing strategic support for critical areas such as due diligence (commercial, operational, financial, IT, and more) and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring our clients achieve sustainable value creation.

Our mission is to empower private equity-owned portfolio companies to overcome challenges, unlock potential, and achieve operational excellence. Whether addressing underperformance, navigating complex reorganizations, or repositioning businesses for growth, the GCC PEPI team plays a pivotal role in driving impactful transformations.

As a valued member of the A&M GCC PEPI team based in Gurugram, you will have the unique opportunity to work on high-stakes, high-impact projects across multiple geographies and industries. You will engage with clients throughout the entire private equity lifecycle, including:

Pre-Acquisition Support: Conducting commercial and operational due diligence, carve-out planning, and merger integration to ensure seamless transitions and informed decision-making.
Transformation and Performance Improvement: Driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and deliver measurable results.
Turnaround and Restructuring: Supporting operational turnarounds and restructuring efforts to stabilize and revitalize underperforming businesses.
Exit Readiness and Execution: Preparing portfolio companies for successful exits by maximizing value and ensuring strategic alignment.

How you will contribute?
As a member of the GCC PEPI team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-impact solutions to our clients and contributing to the growth of Alvarez & Marsal’s entrepreneurial and fast-paced practice. Working closely with Senior Directors and Managing Directors in a flat, collaborative team structure, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your workstreams, deliver results directly to clients and senior leadership, and make a tangible impact on the success of our projects. This role offers a unique platform to: Deliver High-Impact Solutions Across Diverse Projects: Take ownership of and deliver your own workstreams across a variety of project types, including: Commercial Due Diligence: Assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities for potential investments. Operational Due Diligence: Evaluating operational capabilities, identifying risks, and uncovering opportunities for efficiency and scalability Financial Due Diligence: Analysing financial performance, identifying key drivers, and assessing the sustainability of earnings. IT Due Diligence: Reviewing technology infrastructure, systems, and processes to ensure alignment with business goals. Performance Improvement and Transformation: Driving initiatives to optimize operations, enhance profitability, and unlock value for portfolio companies. Turnaround and Restructuring: Supporting underperforming businesses in stabilizing operations and implementing recovery strategies. Exit Readiness: Preparing portfolio companies for successful exits by maximizing value and ensuring strategic alignment. Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with Managing Directors and Senior Directors to design and implement innovative, hands-on solutions for complex business challenges. Qualifications
We are looking for dynamic, self-driven professionals who bring a combination of strong academic credentials, relevant experience, and a passion for delivering impactful results. The ideal candidate will possess: Professional Experience: 6-11 years of experience within a leading strategy or operational consulting firm is highly desirable. Alternatively, relevant experience in Private Equity, Corporate Finance, or Operations will also be considered. Core Competencies: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong financial acumen, coupled with a deep understanding of key business and operational drivers. ▪ Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and presentation-building skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing zero-defect deliverables. ▪Familiarity with the private equity lifecycle and the ability to navigate its complexities effectively. Personal Attributes: A fact-based, analytical mindset with a solution-focused and action-oriented approach. ▪ Determined to make a difference, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial flair. ▪ High integrity and the ability to deliver difficult messages with professionalism and tact. ▪ Strong prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situations, with the ability to manage competing demands effectively Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel modelling, with the ability to structure and analyse data to support timely, informed decision-making for clients. ▪ The ability to quickly synthesize vast or limited amounts of data, draw actionable conclusions, and recommend solutions.
