The Role
We are seeking an Analyst to join A&M's M&A FIG team and help drive its growth in EMEA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience, preferably within the investment banking sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing practice and work on challenging and high-profile M&A transactions across EMEA with a focus on financial institutions. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Conduct in-depth financial and strategic analyses of sectors and companies within the financial services industry.
- Assist in the development and preparation of marketing materials, pitch presentations, and transaction documents.
- Participate in due diligence efforts, including data gathering, analysis, and synthesis of findings.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members to support deal origination and execution activities.
- Contribute to the valuation process, including the use of financial modeling techniques and tools.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting financial institutions.
The Requirements
- A high-grade master’s degree from an accredited top-tier university in business, economics, sciences or a similar discipline is essential;
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory, with a preference for experience within the financial services industry;
- Strong financial modelling skills and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Understanding of M&A processes, deal structures, and financial analysis techniques;
- Ability to leverage technology to consistently deliver work in an effective and efficient manner, and
- Fluency in French and English is essential.
