The Team
The Corporate Finance team provides mergers & acquisitions advisory, debt advisory and transaction support to multinational corporates, private equity firms, financial institutions, and private companies and boards across multiple sectors.
M&A Associate based in Sydney.
Support senior advisers on end-to-end M&A transactions from initial sourcing through deal completion.
Conduct financial analysis, valuation analysis, investor / buyer research, and investment appraisal to inform transaction decisions.
Develop strong client relationships and contribute to a growing M&A practice.
How you Will Contribute
Transaction Support & Deal Execution
Assist in all phases of M&A transactions including deal identification, financial analysis and modelling.
Prepare quality financial analyses, investment memoranda, and transaction-support documentation under the direction of senior team members.
Conduct primary and secondary research, financial benchmarking, and comparative analyses to support transaction recommendations.
Support client meetings and presentations, building familiarity with key stakeholder engagement approaches.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses).
Analyse target company financials, identify key drivers and risks, and prepare findings summaries.
Perform financial analytics including financial statement review, working capital analysis, and synergy quantification.
Client & Team Development
Work collaboratively with experienced advisers, demonstrating initiative and strong attention to detail.
Contribute to client communication and coordination, acting as a reliable point of contact for stakeholder queries.
Participate in continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, and professional development within the practice.
Support business development initiatives including proposal preparation and market analysis.

Qualifications & Experience
Direct M&A experience preferred, having worked in a large accounting firm or boutique with 2+ years Corporate Finance experience.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Graduate with internship experience in corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or related field.
Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, with proficiency in building three-statement financial models and valuation analyses.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and valuation methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear, concise analysis and presentations.
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capabilities; experience with deal management or data room platforms advantageous.
Analytical mindset with ability to work with large data sets and identify key drivers and patterns.
