Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Legal Associate Manager to support the firm's legal and compliance function. The role is responsible for providing legal counsel, managing contract negotiations, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Associate Manager will partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders to provide practical legal solutions that support the firm's strategic objectives while safeguarding its interests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual, corporate, employment, and regulatory matters.
- Assess legal and commercial risks associated with business activities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support business units in contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and legal decision-making.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts and legal documents, including NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Ensure the firm's activities, policies, and practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance requirements.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on potential impacts to the business.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate external legal support when required.
- Support the resolution of legal disputes, claims, investigations, and regulatory matters.
- Develop and maintain contract management processes, legal templates, and documentation standards.
- Contribute to legal awareness initiatives and provide guidance to stakeholders on legal and compliance requirements.
- Participate in strategic projects and business initiatives, providing legal input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by the Performance Manager.
Other activities and responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, may be entrusted with the function holder.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B) required;
- Master's degree (LL.M) is an advantage.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 6–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within a corporate legal department, professional services firm, or reputable law firm.
- Demonstrated experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory work.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory laws.
- Experience managing legal risks and supporting business stakeholders in complex legal matters.
