We're now looking for an Engineering Lead (Associate Manager) who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and is passionate about turning AI-enabled ideas into production-ready solutions.
What You'll Do:
As an Engineering Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative AI-powered solutions from concept to reality.
You will:
- Lead technical workstreams end-to-end, from solution design and architecture through to implementation, deployment, and handover.
- Build high-quality, production-grade software and personally contribute to hands-on development.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to bring ideas to life.
- Translate evolving business needs into scalable technical solutions, making thoughtful engineering trade-offs along the way.
- Integrate AI and GenAI capabilities into products and platforms that create meaningful client impact.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, shared standards, and modern development practices.
- Ensure solutions are maintainable, supportable, secure, and built with long-term sustainability in mind.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering production-grade software solutions within modern engineering environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals across system design, APIs, data management, testing, and quality practices.
- Experience owning technical delivery from initial design through to deployment and operational support.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating AI-powered capabilities into products or platforms.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, define technical approaches, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with cloud-native technologies, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tooling.
- Strong understanding of engineering trade-offs across scalability, performance, security, quality, and cost.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A leadership mindset combined with a willingness to remain deeply hands-on.
Nice to Have
We're especially interested in candidates who have:
- Experience within innovation, consulting, product incubation, or R&D environments.
- Exposure to LLM-based applications, AI orchestration frameworks, or machine learning platforms in production settings.
- Strong solution architecture and technical design experience.
- Experience creating reusable frameworks, accelerators, or engineering best practices.
- Experience working within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- A natural curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a pragmatic approach to evaluating their real-world value.
