POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) will support a wide range of Treasury functions for the insurance business. The successful AVP must manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment for multiple legal entities while supporting initiatives to enhance the existing functions to meet the rapidly changing needs of the business.
- Lead and develop a team dedicated to ensuring accuracy of cash data across 2,000+ bank accounts
- Ensure cash data is complete and accurate for Financial reporting
- Oversee the completion and documentation of key SOX controls
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
- Maintain documented procedures for the team’s core functions
- Approve internal fundings and external payments to third parties
- Participate in company-wide initiatives/projects to improve processes and infrastructure including workflow automation, liquidity reporting, and variance analysis
- Prepare and present materials to Senior Management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree required with a minimum of 7 years work experience in a Treasury or Operations Role
- Knowledge of treasury systems (i.e. Kyriba or other banking platforms) is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Visio
- Proactively addresses issues that may impact outcome of initiatives
- Prior experience implementing financial controls in compliance with SOX a strong plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve key issues
- Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues or challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
