The Technology Transformation practice is one of the key practice areas within the Strategy & Business Transformation Practice and works with technology and business leaders at our clients, including CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, CFOs, CEOs, and CPOS. The Technology Transformation Practice’s purpose is to drive business and technology transformation. We partner with our clients to identify, prioritize and plan how to address cost, performance, value, and customer experience challenges. Our services include developing business and technology capability roadmaps, technology governance structures and decision rights, organizational change management, technology and resource sourcing, operating model strategies, technology architecture, cost optimization, vendor management, and strengthening business engagement. We recognize that true technology transformation comes through changes in culture and ways of interacting with business partners.
Directors are primarily responsible for overseeing projects and developing business. They apply well-honed consulting, project management and functional skills in the management of major projects. Further, Directors are involved in business development such as project diagnostics, proposal development and sales calls. Director's skills and responsibilities include:
1. Business Strategy and Leadership:
o Leverage strong business acumen to align technology strategy with business value.
o Hyper-focus on delivering C-Suite-ready, high-quality outcomes.
o Lead and manage multiple engagement teams.
2. Client Relationship Management and Growth:
o Generate new business opportunities with both existing and net new clients.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
o Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and industry trends.
3. Solution Design and Delivery:
o Collaborate across teams to identify AI and IT solution opportunities.
o Lead pre-sales activities, including scoping and estimation.
o Oversee the design and implementation of scalable AI solutions for clients.
o Ensure timely project delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
o Apply Agile methodologies for iterative development.
4. Team Management and Innovation:
o Mentor high-performing IT and AI professionals.
o Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
o Stay informed about IT infrastructure, AI/ML, cloud, and data engineering.
5. Technical Expertise and Compliance:
o Architect complex solutions integrating various technologies.
o Identify compliance requirements related to AI regulations and standards.
6. Product Lifecycle and Problem Solving:
o Manage product roadmaps, from ideation to continuous improvement on projects.
o Resolve critical issues impacting clients’ strategic success.
o Demonstrate strong analytical skills in problem framing and solving.
7. Organizational Involvement:
o Actively contribute to The Hackett Group’s functional/industry practices.
o Engage in firm-building activities, including recruiting and training.
In addition to industry and service area expertise, the candidate must:
· Have at least 10 years experience managing client relations, engagements and business development for major consulting firms.
· Hold prior senior position within top tier consulting firm with responsibilities for consulting sales and delivery experience.
· Have a track record of building successful relationships with senior executives within these practice areas and delivering successful consulting engagements. Must have ability to generate add-on sales with existing clients.
· Be able to design and direct engagements to successful completion while meeting agreed upon time frames and work specifications.
· Have a demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets over a period of years.
· Work collaboratively with Principals and staff members in a team environment to develop new business opportunities, successful completion of engagements, recruitment of high potential candidates and further the goals of The Hackett Group.
· Have experience speaking at large industry conferences and published professional articles or other publications.
· Hold a strong educational background, with an MBA degree strongly preferred.
· Have strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and promote staff members.
· Have superior project management skills to ensure the effective management and coordination of multiple engagements.
· Possess excellent written and presentation skills.
· Possess strong negotiating skills.
Work location is flexible if approved by the Company except that position may not be performed remotely from Colorado or in New York City.
