The Marwood Group is seeking candidates for the Associate/Senior Associate role for immediate hire. Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of experience in healthcare policy or healthcare consulting roles and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Associates/Senior Associates help to execute healthcare consulting engagements through rigorous qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of healthcare policy drivers and payor outlooks, as well as scientific and market drivers that can provide our clients with opportunities for growth. Work is conducted across healthcare sectors, which includes provider services, technology, value-based care, life sciences, and more.
Associates/Senior Associates typically work on multidisciplinary teams with Analysts and other Associates, taking responsibility for parts of overall project execution and analysis, creating client presentations, working with Project Leaders and senior managers, and engaging in communication with Marwood’s clients.
This role at Marwood will enable qualified candidates to gain or further develop expertise in healthcare consulting and business considerations including financial, clinical, regulatory, and policy issues, as well as a keen understanding of the healthcare private equity and corporate strategy fields. Successful candidates will be able to translate complex healthcare policy, payor, regulatory, and market information into concise, commercially relevant insights for investor and corporate clients.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Perform due diligence on trends in state Medicaid and the commercial payor market to assess impact of changes on a wide range of healthcare businesses over the next 3-5 years. This can include:
- Conducting primary and secondary desk research relative to Medicaid and commercial payor policies on a given healthcare sector
- Researching and analyzing legislation, regulations, and other healthcare content issues
- Developing surveys and interview guides and conducting data collection/phone interviews
- Performing data-driven analyses to provide insight into market developments and understand payor trends
- Identify and synthesize information from various sources and workstreams to draw conclusions for client deliverables
- Manage and lead teams of analysts and associates, coordinate with internal subject matter experts, oversee workstream progression and deliverable fulfillment on rapid timelines
- Edit and refine project work to deliver high-quality reports
- Present information to clients and answer questions where appropriate
- Title will be determined based on experience; Senior Associates are expected to independently manage workstreams, oversee Analyst/Associate work products, contribute to client-ready deliverables, and serve as a day-to-day point of contact for internal project leadership
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university
- Preferred areas of study include public health, public policy, health policy, healthcare informatics, healthcare management, and more
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare sector, including science, policy, finance, or other relevant connections
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills, including both quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Experience working in a team environment, as well as independently and autonomously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience with presenting information in a clear, concise manner
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with survey analysis, claims/payor data, CMS/state Medicaid sources, or healthcare policy databases is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines

Marwood offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits commensurate with experience. Associates/Senior Associates are eligible for internal promotion. The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for performance-based incentives.
