Your Impact
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders in our Private Capital team, where you will play a key role in helping investors build strong investment theses, generate actionable insights, maintain a robust knowledge base, and develop innovative approaches to delivering successful transactions.
Your position offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic and fast-paced industry while gaining broad exposure to diverse markets.
Your primary responsibilities will include delivering standardized modules in due diligence, such as conducting Voice of Customer analyses, designing and executing B2B and B2C surveys, performing competitive landscape scans, and building market models. You will also support the development of investment theses, market sizing, and growth benchmarking by leveraging data-driven insights. Additionally, you will contribute to client development efforts by creating asset perspectives that help shape strategic decisions.
Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work alongside private equity practitioners to apply advanced generative AI (GenAI) solutions, codify knowledge, and scale impact across projects. You will also partner closely with Private Capital solution teams to ensure consistent excellence and innovation in client service delivery.
As part of a broader team of over 25 colleagues across Asia, you will gain early exposure to a wide range of sectors, providing you with a strong foundation for your career in private capital. Your Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree with an outstanding academic record; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field) is a plus
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, consulting, accounting/advisory firms (e.g., Transaction Services, Valuations, Deal Advisory), financial research institutions (e.g., equity research, credit research, strategy/research teams), or other research-intensive roles
- Strong understanding of private capital and investment-related topics, including industry research, market trends, and deal dynamics; prior exposure to due diligence is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated experience in research and insight generation (e.g., market mapping, industry analysis, company benchmarking, financial analysis, synthesis of multiple data sources into clear insights)
- Strong analytical capabilities, including structured problem solving and ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with research databases data/analytical tools is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, concise, and compelling outputs
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively with global teams in a remote or hybrid support model
- Proven ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced, knowledge-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to building and sharing knowledge
- Fluency in both Japanese and English
