Privately held since its founding in 1983, A&M is a leading global professional services firm, headquartered in the US, that provides advisory, business performance improvement and turnaround management services.
A&M Tax is an independent tax group made up of experienced tax professionals dedicated to providing customised tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. Its professionals extend A&M’s commitment to offering clients a choice of advisors who are free from audit-based conflicts of interest and bring an unyielding commitment to delivering responsive client service. A&M Tax has offices in major metropolitan markets throughout EMEA, the U.S., Asia and Australia.
As a result of this breadth, along with A&M’s growth, we are rapidly expanding the tax practice at all levels and looking to recruit an Associate into the Employment Tax Team.
Role Overview
Our international network of experts manages all aspects of employment tax to help clients manage their employees in the most tax-efficient way. We support and guide clients in implementing Global Mobility Policies to support international hiring and cross-border moves. We manage corporate and individual obligations from a tax and social security perspective.
We develop compensation packages based on clients’ needs. We guide our clients in implementing business travel and tax equalisation policies, implement welfare programmes, and advise on benefits in kind.
We advise on equity compensation programmes to align employees’ interests with company goals. We structure equity plans to optimise the tax consequences for shareholders.
We assist clients with employment tax and payroll due diligence, reviewing and analysing companies’ payroll processes, tax withholdings and compliance frameworks typically used in M&A transactions.
As an Associate within the Employment Tax Practice, you will be required to work with the Directors and Managing Director in handling a wide variety of employment tax queries raised by clients and by the international A&M network.
The role will involve researching technical issues using case law databases, legislation and tax authority guidance. Good numerical and spreadsheet or data analytical skills would also be an advantage. This is a real opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
