The Disputes & Investigations (D&I) team provides dispute consulting, investigations, and forensic technology services to law firms, corporates, governments, and regulators.
- Senior Manager or Director based in the Brisbane office.
- Lead and manage high-quality delivery across disputes, investigations, and forensic accounting matters.
- Drive client relationships, business development, and team capability in the Queensland market.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients (internal and external) and play a central role in growing A&M's D&I presence in Brisbane.
Client & Engagement Leadership
- Lead and manage engagements end-to-end, owning workstreams and taking responsibility for quality of output.
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact on active matters, building trusted adviser relationships.
- Direct the work of junior team members, providing guidance, review, and development support.
- Structure complex problems, design analytical approaches, and deliver defensible findings in litigation and regulatory contexts.
Business Development
- Originate and develop relationships with law firms, corporates, and other referral sources in Queensland and nationally.
- Contribute to proposals, pitches, and thought leadership to position A&M's D&I capabilities in the market.
- Identify and pursue opportunities across A&M's broader platform to leverage cross-service line relationships.
Team & Practice Development
- Mentor and develop junior practitioners, contributing to a high-performance team culture.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the D&I practice.
- Support practice management including resourcing, scheduling, and quality oversight.
- Fraud and misconduct investigations.
- Forensic accounting and financial analyses.
- Dispute advisory and expert-support services.
- Regulatory inquiries, enforcement matters, and remediation programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in accounting, law, finance, or a related discipline; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
- Significant experience in disputes, investigations, forensic accounting, or a related field, gained in a professional services, law firm, or regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated track record of managing engagements, leading teams, and delivering findings in complex matters.
- Established or developing network of relationships with law firms, corporates, or regulators in the Queensland or broader Australian market.
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with forensic or data analytics tools is advantageous.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing expert-support deliverables, reports, and client presentations.
- Commercial acumen and business development appetite, with the ability to build and sustain client relationships.
